"As I reflect on my childhood, being born and raised in Galveston, Texas; food and cooking goes as far back as my memory does. From making grilled cheese sandwiches under the oven in the double broiler to making huge pots of gumbo after being taught by my grandmother, Lillie "Mae" Alexander. I love cooking; However, nothing warms my heart more than the grateful heart of a person once their belly is full. Restaurants have been fun to work in, hospitality and resort kitchens as well. Ultimately one of my goals now, as a private chef, is to help less fortunate individuals plan and prepare healthy meals for themselves and their families on their own; one home kitchen at a time."
